Bought this to mount on my boat's console and the adjustment is smooth enough to tweak one-handed while steering. The aluminum body feels solid but the rubber grip keeps it from slipping when my hands are wet.

The rubber coating on the aluminum body makes it way easier to grip than the bare metal one I had before. I've got it installed in a tight spot in my housing and the on-the-fly adjustment actually works smoothly. Solid little piece, feels like it'll hold up.

Bought this to mount on my workbench and the on-the-fly adjustment is genuinely handy when I'm switching between tasks. The aluminum body feels solid without being slippery, thanks to the rubber coating.
