The tread on these actually grips loose gravel, which surprised me for a kids' tire. My daughter rides her 16-inch bike on dirt paths now without slipping, and the casing feels sturdy enough to handle her crashes.

Swapped these onto my son's 20-inch bike and the knobby tread grips loose gravel way better than the slicks he had before. The 22 TPI casing feels sturdy without making the ride harsh. He's been begging to ride every day since.

My daughter was nervous about riding on gravel until we swapped these on, and now she tears down the path without a wobble. The tread really grips on loose dirt, and the 22 TPI casing feels sturdy without weighing her 20-inch bike down.
